MAC 3: MUDIAD ADFYWIAD CYMRU - A Welsh National Independence Movement against English Imperialism and Cymric Collaborationist Neo - Colonialism ?

GREAT! GOT YOUR ATTENTION! Now don't panic patriots it ain't going to happen but if it were to arise, then it should certainly be, in main involved in Nonviolent Passive Resistance Campaigning and particularly against Cerebral Colonialism.

The above illustration simply depicts ideas and initiatives I have been involved with over the passed 45 years, from Patriotic Front and FWA to Cymru Goch and Cofiwn. I have never had much to do with the numerousus verities of ''Welsh Republicanisms'' but that does not mean, I am not unsympathetic to the Republican ideal as preached by the Italian Revolutionary Mazzini. Politically I have over the years favoured a Radical Alternative Welsh Nationalist Movement & Struggle (see blog of that name), of which the National Patriotic Front in the 60's was a worth while political patriotic project with good purpose for the times, not least in leading and carrying out resistance to the 1969 Investiture.

The Welsh Socialist Vanguard and Cymru Goch 1 during the early seventies also played a purposeful part in so far as advancing a left alternative Welsh Nationalism, to be later more successfully advanced by Cymru Goch 2 and the Welsh Socialist Republican Movement. Then of course during the early eighties there was Cymdeithas Cyfamod y Cymru Rydd which had great potential but which sadly did not live up to expectations by getting itself too over involved with the rural 'Mewnlifiad Issue' and the Meibion Glyndwr ''Arson War''. Post 20th Century we have seen come into existencee a WELSH INDEPENDENCE PARTY which demised as Y Cyfamodwyr did, in internal leadership squabbles and accusations of Brit Secret Service covert operations within that Party. This is more the pity as WIP had great potential which is more than can be said for ''Alternative Nationalist Movements'' since as the now demised Cymry Rhydd - Welsh Republican grouplet and the oddity that goes by the name of BALCHDER CYMRU (see also Cymru 1400 website and Red Dragon Movement via web search) . This body of patriots arose to become for a short while MUDIAD RHYDDHAD CYMRU aka Welsh Liberation Movement but cannot make up its mind as to what it really is, thus describes itself as both a Nationalist ''Think Tank'' and a Welsh Republican News Service. This is an oddity, as one cannot detect much thinking going on in BC at all, as for its ''Republicanism'', that is oddly associated with a number of medieval Welsh Princes rather than any character or event in our history associated with any form of ''Republicanism''.

That dear patriot is the state of Patriotic Play at present, I am prompted to pen this post, as from time to time I am asked if ADFYWIAD GWLADGAROL CYMRU would ever become something more than a blog. Sadly, I can only reply NO!, that is other than a platform for ideas and initiatives largely concerned with Campaigns Against Cerebral Colonialism, something more radical than Cofiwn. For inspiration here I look to Scotland's Siol Nan Gaidheal, Barrio Warriors of California and the American Indian Movement with a touch of the Black Panther Party perhaps. Plus of late I am also drawn to the debate in Kashmir were the call for democratic action is finding favour over militancy, see on web KASHMIR'S NEW GENERATION, OPEN DEMOCRACY, NEWS ANALYSIS and other similar arguments for and against, regards issue of Militant and Moderate Struggle for Independence/Autonomy.

Thus not only do I favour Campaign Against Cerebral Colonialism but also I am not in favour of Movements, Political or otherwise, nor do I favour any ''National Committees'' and ''Leaders'' that spring out of such ''National Movements'', for a number of reasons, not least practical ones. You cannot failed to have noticed that ''Welsh Nationalism'' cannot event get its act together re a Yes Campaign regards a proper Parliament for Wales Campaign let alone an Independence Campaign. As for ''Welsh Republicanism'' forget it, that's got no future for reasons I have gone into in other posts. Before any Welsh Republican Movement ever raises it's head again, it really needs a great deal of political and historical study and then a great deal of thinking (see my The Welsh Patriot Blog). Myself anyway, politically would have to favour a clear left turn, as I prompt & promote in my blog: RED REMEMBRANCER, thus even though the above illustration might suggest a return of the NATIONAL PATRIOTIC FRONT, this is not an option either. Although I am wondering if some ''Alternative Nationalists'' might be thinking of a PLAID CAMBRIA? A New Radical Welsh Nationalist Party, but I am getting ahead of myself now, more on this in due course over in my blog CAMBRIAN NATION NO! CENEDL CYMRU RYDD YES!.

Thus what do I favour, obviously no more and no less than in the main, a radical ADFYWIAD CYMRU, that is a campaigns against all forms of Cerebral Colonialism, in time embarking on other issues as right now the Anti - Another Investiture Campaign. Then in time possibly becoming involved in any number of social and cultural campaigning, as the CYMRU EIN GWLAD/Whose Wales? CAMPAIGN (details to follow in due course in The Welsh Patriot blog) . However, such that is carried out by Individuals or Groups 'Autonomous Action' in the community or within other campaigns or movements, by necessity toward success 'Adfywiadwyr' must become with and amongst the people as much as possible, not above and beyond them unless in the initiation of campaigns.

PATRIOTIC AGIT - PROP: The No To Another Investiture Black Cross Campaign 2009

AGIT - PROP can have a bad press, if one views it just by its roots as a means of propaganda persued by Russian Communist Party and state. However, agitprop has also been much used by the left particularly the Anarchist & Autonomist Left and since the sixties by the New Left and Liberal Activists of every kind. As far as I am concerned I see agitprop as simply a means of furthering patriotic propaganda by means of patriotic activism. Agit - Prop has been used in its basic form as distribution of leaflets to literature and street theatre or even just slogan painting. Whatever, in present case of my proposed and much prompted NO TO ANOTHER INVESTITURE BLACK CROSS CAMPAIGN, I am simply attempting to get patriots off their backsides, out of 'Byd Blog' and not least away from the nonsense of on line petitioning as much used by the Cambrianistas and Balchderiaid.

The great patriotic purpose being to see Black Crosses placed on as many English Crown Memorials/Monuements/Sculptures in Wales as is possible, so that we might just see how many there are, so its a kind of survey. Thus we will come to know just how many we will have to take down and deposit in a landfill site, break up or melt down in the months following Indepndence as was done to help de-colonise countries as India and English Imperial domains in Africa or where ever. Then of course at present such Patriotic Agit - Prop is lending itself to an on going Anti - III Investiture in Caernarfon, as may be the distincnt possibility in time to come. Of course this means that patriots will have to get very busy, and so to inspire as just how effective such campaigns can be, see below link to the Ghost Bike Campaign. Do read and then please all you Patriotic Lads and Lassies do get busy, and remember take fotos and put on your blogs and websites and maybe some stall at the Eisteddfod could put up a board for everyones Black Cross fotos to be pinned on. DAYS OF GLORY: A Must See DVD - Go Get Today or Tomorrow or whenever but like now OK!

Amazingly this excellent film can now be obtained in stores for just £3:00, well at least in London it can. This is not just a great war film but one with an excellently depicted Patriotic Political message plus plenty of "Cultural Nationalism" if that's your bag. This film shows where the radical political roots of the Algerian Liberation Struggle lay, look out for the scenes of ''Cerebral Colonialism'' at work on the Arab mind. Keep an eye out for iconic images of the Arab battlefield graves and not least witness the sudden rise of consciousness over the issue of who gets the tomatoes, the scene where a soldier grabs a box of tomatoes and stamps on them and says ''No One Gets Them Now" is as good as 1000 words of pathetic patriotic platitudes of poets and meaningless mouthiness of knee jerking patriotic sentiments of ''Good Ole Boys". Get this film and watch it twice, even thrice and then go get and watch the classic film THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS, then read some books on the Algerian Struggle for Independence and then listen to some RAI music. I further, earnestly suggest you put both films/DVD's on your Xmas Present Shopping list for family, friends and of course fellow Adfywiadwyr Compatriots and other Patriots, not least any ''Good Ole Boys" who badly need a POLITICAL EDUCATION.

COFIWCH ABERTH ABERGELE 1969 - 2009: 40th Anniversary Commemoration.

First I must state clearly that I have no association nor do I support attempts by BALCHDER CYMRU to opportunistically use this commemoration for their own very doubtful and dodgy political ends has they have done in the past regards in particular, a Cayo Evans Commemoration of some few years previous. Further I will draw your attention once again to their use of images in their Abergele Connection, a figure holding a gun. This can only be to purpose of putting genuine patriots off attending any commemoration, or worse attract people who are attracted by such militant images. In these times not only is this plainly daft but also dubious and serves no real purpose than that of the British Secret Service, so I repeat DO NOT SUPPORT OR ATTEND ANY BALCHDER CYMRU ABERGELE OR OTHER COMMEMORATIONS. Not until these ''Patriots'' wake up to certain prevailing realities and then prove themselves as more than just poseur, posturing and parading patriots. I have made suggestions regards how best I think patriots should commemorate this 2009 Abergele anniversary commemoration, and have placed such information on a number of posts, in this and other of my blogs.
Suffice to conclude by informing you that further Abergele archive material and photos will be placed soon in posts on my AWNM&S blog.

MYNYDD GARN BODUON and an Edwards Field Outing 1 Awst 2009.

The Matter of Edwards Field and his great Victory over Gwynedd celebration held there in 1284 is not some thing we want to commemorate but we can celebrate the fact that despite Conquest 1282 - 83 we are still here and engaged in struggle for our Independence. Thus I am promoting the idea of Gwladgarwyr Gwynedd organising a great 'Gwyl Yma o Hyd' on Edwards Field in Nefyn or a Patriotic Social Evening at Tafarn Bryncynan on or about 1 Awst 2009. Whatever, if no one does I suggest Adfywiadwyr and other patriots organise their own outings to Edwards Field in Nefyn (see my Cofiwn blog for information and to view photos). Other than that I suggest a walk atop Garn Boduon (see info on Web), well worth it for the views, let alone treading where our Celtic Ancestors established a defended village. Then you really will have a thirst which you can quench at the near by Tafarn Bryncynan, hhhmmm!!! that Arch Druid Cynan was he not pro Prince Charles being made an English Prince of Wales and up for Investiture'69? and they named a pub after him? sigh!!!!! That's the Welsh for you but I guess he wrote poetry, so it's ok!
