It certainly did not stop the Investiture and prior to that the bomb attacks at Tryweryn in 1963 possibly deterred Cultural Nationalist popular action in the last resort as positive obstructive pacifism and constructive vandalism in campaigning against the Dam construction in 'on site' acts of civil disobedience and other activities to also thwart evictions from the village of Pant y Celyn.

Further, after having seen the consequence of Political Violence in Ireland since 1970, we must be content with the fact that in Wales such came to and end in 1969 before more lives were lost and serious injury caused. Was political violence justified, maybe in case of Tryweryn where all democratic means had failed and the verdict of the majority of Welsh People were opposed to the injustice and exploitation being done. Otherwise, as used to try stopping the Investiture such scared the pants of most Welsh Nationalists and the Cultural Nationalists seen it as a threat to their desired objective of advancing towards Cymru - Y Crachach Newydd, thus they made sure they were favored by both Brit and Welsh establishments by thwarting any Investiture Day Protests in Caernarfon.
End result of which in the final analysis one can conclude that the Road from Bont Trefechan lead towards successful Crachach Cymru conclusions as far as 'middle class' ambitions were concerned but ironically failed to stop language decline. Sadly, the road from Tryweryn Bomb attack lead to Abergele and the death of two working class foot soldiers of Mudiad Amdiffyn Cymru. Myself, I guess I was as much wrong in advocating and supporting an 'Armed Insurrection' against the English Rule of our Country. These 50 years on knowing what I know now as to how much as worked out along with some great change in my political thinking, I can only say that I have no interest in Welsh Nationalism, Nation Statism or so called Welsh Independence.
I am patriotic but only in sense that I would and am in protesting and campaigning in defence of Country, Community and on behalf of the Colonial Working and Underclass. I certainly would not work nor fight on behalf of Y Crachach be 'Crach Fodder', any Welsh establishment nor any Government. I am not a pacifist but cannot see a Wales in which political violence would be needed to advance my present views, opinions and aims but, most certainly support and advance policies of radical 'Adfywiad Autonomous Action' of Total Popular Radical Resistance to Exploitation and Expropriation. I find it peculiar to say the least that amongst those on the Patriotic Fringe whose politics appear to have only come out of reading To Dream of Freedom' and spend most of the time Tramp! Tramp! Tramping are the least likely to stick up a protest poster or go on any long term campaigining, let alone to commit to armed struggle as 'Freedom Fighters' unless of course it is of the fbf 'Islander' kind.

Who at long last appear to be up for more action, going beyond commemoration towards campaiging as the first and foremost Patriotic concern and committment as indicated by the speech of Adam Phillips BC at Rali Tryweryn on Saturday. At last which on the surface at least seems to agree with my call to radical Patriots to courageously fight for Cymru as patriotic Freedom Fighters of the 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol Fawr' in the 'Sixties' but as I have made clear above we have no need for Bombs as Posters, Placards and Banners will do. Why not set out to such end on Dydd Dewi 2013, leave the 'Azincourt Leek' eating and Investiture Daffodil Wearing, Tudor rag waving to the 'Cambrian Patriots' of the 1715 and 1745 British Welsh ilk!
