Dydd Dewi = Tartan Taff Parade Day, Caerdydd 2007

Whilst reading below material, noting the rising ''Religious Resurgence'' with all the ''Christain Crosses'' to the fore plus spuedo patriotisms re-finding of Dewi Sant. Then there's all this ''Cilt Clutter'', I am beginning to wonder, if the failiure by Welsh Nationalists to mount a mass mobalisation of a successful 'WELSH INDEPENDENCE CAMPAIGN' as the Scots have done, is leading them towards a kind of 1905 Religious Reaction - Retreat from Reality into Religion. This is similar of course to the American First Peoples retreat into the ''Ghost Dance'' Religion, all of which begs the question, is this 'CILT CYMRY = The CYMRIC GHOST DANCE COSTUME? Think on it, and at the same time think deeply, regards what you going to do about DEMANDING WELSH INDEPENDANCE, I mean LOUD ACTION not, all the TALK! TALK! TALK! May I again suggest that at next years annual 'Dydd Dewi Day' Parade in Caerdydd, now also anniversary of that ''SHAM SENEDD SET UP 2006'', that real patriots, perhaps with ''Radical Nationalists'' (Who?) leading the way, out of Tafarn Cayo, assemble behind an 'INDEPENDENCE NOW' banner with plenty of 'Baneri Llywelyn III and Owain IV' plus of course; Republican Flags and yes Adfywiad Sun Flags, not least loads of White Eagle flags and White Eagle Crosses of Welsh Resistence etc. THAT SHOULD SHOW WE MEAN BUSINESS OK! You then parade with the ''Tartan Taffs'' down Cathedral Road into the City, following them onward down Westgate Street, but when they turn back towards the Steps of the National Museum of Wales, those of you up for a bit of ''Independence Now!'' march on down into 'Bae Caerdydd' for some 'INDEPENDENCE ACTION AGAINST THE ASSEMBLY OF APPEASEMENT WITH ENGLISH IMPERIALISM AND NEO - COLONIALISM'. However, I want hold my breath? I am seriouly beginning to think most have lost the Patriotic Plot, what with ''Plaid Poppy'' and all that? teaching ''Nationalists'' how to run away from, even the word I.N.D.E.P.E.N.D.E.N.C.E.

For Welsh Independence Chatter, see the excellent blog:http://independent-wales.blogspot.com good blog but note it deals in theory more than practise. However, at least someone cares but lets see some ACTION!

Now for some ''Adfywiad Crefyddol Cymru'' aka ''Ghost Dancing'', READ ON:
.

Is it Edinburgh? No! It's Caerdydd and it's Saint David's Day.

Thought I had better go and take a peek at what I often seem to be patriotically ''puking up about'', so returned to Wales with a couple of English Friends (yes that's possible). Got to be honest they thought the parade was ok! but were not impressed by the lack of love for Dewi Sant by the people of this so called Capital City of Wales. Sure was a lack of expressions of patriotism even if such may have been the wearing of Leeks (a 16th Century pro - Tudor invention) and Daffs (Lloyd George & Investiture 1911), as for the shops and pubs not much of a bid deal regards 'Dydd Dewi'. However, one can hardly blame the pubs as after all, Dewi had a big down on BOOZE and SEX. Thus one can hardly expect the Pubs to go big on Dewi, as they do regards Saint Paterick in Ireland, in recent years English Cities, particularly London really get into Saint Patericks Day, and now it's not just the Irish who celebrate this day in a ''BOOZE BINGE''. As for Saint David and Sex, I very much doubt if you will ever see ''Sexy Welsh Fancy Dress Costumes'', as one does regards the Irish Lasses costumes, remember Saint David had no time for sex, he actually turned down the three virgin daughters of a Pagan Irish Chief (I say lets go Pagan, but more on that below). My ''English Friends'' also noted that London seemed to do a better job of celebrating Saint George than Cardiff does of Saint David, I and they suggest that all you ''Tartan Taffies'' visit The George, National Trust Tavern, Southwark on Saint Georges Day.

Close to Southwark Cathedral and of course the ''famous'' Borough Market, with some more excellent pubs close by as The Globe and Market Porter (I am sounding like a ''PPPP'' now?). Just beyond by Thames Embankment you will find the restored Globe Theatre, William Shakespeare and all that, the fella who 'Took The Taffy Out Of Taffy and Made Him More Taffy Than Before' (Q: name the Welsh Religious Martyr who was executed in this area? By way, I think his commemorative plaque has been taken down. Maybe a restoration by the WCP or MHOSD would be appropriate? as well a joint ''Welsh Christian Falangist'' annual Rally and wreath laying ceremony? Think on it! opportunity for more St David Cross Flag Flying) I have done articles on this which I will have to post up some where, possibly in THE WELSH PATRIOT blog: http://welshpatriot.blogspot.com. I believe Embassy Glyndwr has done much on this regards their 'Coron Glyndwr Initiative'. See Owain Glyndwr Communicates blog. Not forgetting also related is stuff that I have wrote on St David and Azincourt in this Adfywiad Gwladgarol Cymru blog. But for now see below from RedDragonHood:

''These accounts of leeks as a Welsh emblem all seem to stem from the English poet Michael Drayton (1563-1631), a contemporary of Shakespeare. This suggests that the association of leeks with Wales might be some sort of Tudor propaganda, the meaning of which has long been forgotten. It could possibly relate to concerns about the legitimacy of Queen Elizabeth or to ensure Welsh loyalty at a time of war with Spain''. (NB: Green and White were the colours used by the supporters of Catherine of Valios, Owen Tudors wife. Gethin.)

.

That's enough for our ''First City Tourism'', back to Caerdydd. That Parade, of which I am often critcal, see previous postings as to why? But all that aside, I want go and ''Bitch Again'', it was a pretty good parade despite the big push on ''Tartan Taffery'' (aka official Robes Regalia of MHOSD and Band Cambria). Apart from being nearly trampled to death by the

''Merry Munchkins'' (School Kiddies) Screaming and shouting, obviouly happy and on an high, regards having the afternoon off to run amok on the otherwise quiet streets of Caerdydd. I was left thinking, had they been put on ''Laughing Gas'' or something? Pop no doubt?

..........................................The came ''Man Mountain'' Petersen, one of the 'Knights of Saint David'' and early founding members of the 'Miltary and Hospitaller Order of Saint David'.

Followed by loads of followers of the ''Yellow Cross of Saint David.

Above photos: Leading 'Dewi Day' Parade Organisers, Cambrian Magazine Men; It's Editor Henry Jones Davies and ''Staffer'' Robert Hinton. Below photos: Other Personalities, Obviously ''Dignitaries'', then there are the ''Plaid Poppy'' men: Dai Lloyd, Rhodri Glyn Thomas and the always happy and smiling Owen John Thomas. Finnaly we have a random ''Crowd Shot'' (I have many more photos in my Adfywiad pic Data Base, which have no room for here, but will possibly use from time to time).

Others of interest:

Mark Roberts, Lord of Trelleck.

Mark Roberts is also another ''Tartan Taff Fawr'' and as well the Grand Soveriegn Master of the Miltary and Hospitaller Order of Saint David, of which the official 'Robes and Regailia' are very much ''Cilt Clutter'' as order of the day for this ''mysterious masonary?'' Mark Roberts is a sworn defender of the Christian Faith and no doubt he and other members of ''The Order'', as 'Knights of Saint David under the 'Yellow Cross' are now perhaps considering an ''electoral pact'' with the newly formed ''anti - pagan'' W.C.P. WELSH CHRISTIAN PARTY'', both ''bodies'' have a most singular common purpose, that being to see the 'Cross of Saint David flag' become the Flag of Wales. Robert Hinton of Cambria Magazine has gone one step further and called for the 'Cross of Saint David' to become othe official Seal/Coat of Arms of Wales. According to report in Western Mail 03/03/07, the WCP is actually campaigning for doing away with the Red Dragon as a Welsh symbol altogether, to be totally replaced by their 'Yellow Cross'' which is now both flag/emblem of the WCP and MHOSD and of course of the annual CAMBRIA MAGAZINE DYDD DEWI DAY CARDIFF PARADE, Has seen in photographs in this posting. We have already warned Patriots that the 'Baner Dewi' is an ''Anglican Flag'', and also that Saint Davids Day festivities were orignially a celebration for the English Victory over the French. Given all this we call upon true Welsh Patriots to carry not the 'Baner Dewi' but more so 'Baner Glyndwr', and if you must go on Saint David's Day parades make sure that you collectivelly carry as many of your 'Baneri Glyndwr' together in a ''Contingent Glyndwr'', so that it shows clearly your not of either the WCP or MHOSD ''psuedo patriotic persuasion. SEE BELOW, That's the way to do it ok!
''CONTINGENT GLYNDWR?''

NB: Next occaision to get out those 'Baneri Glyndwr' will be on 28 May Glyndwr's Birthday, then most importantly on 21 Mehefin 'Dydd y Senedd' in Machynlleth and finnaly not least on 16 Medi 'Dydd Glyndwr' at Corwen or at your local Glyndwr event. Go see further information in 'Owain Glyndwr Communicates' blog: http://owain-glyndwr-embassyllysgenhadaeth.blogspot.com also see www.embassy-glyndwr.co.uk

To Continue with 'Dydd Dewi' Report and Commentary:

Now the Best Bit, well almost, storming out of high street with a good banging beat, along came 'Band Cambria' bringing up the rear, marching proudly off toward Parc Cathays and the National Museum of Wales. Passing on the way City Hall flying high the flag of ''The Union'' upon which many desire to see placed 'The Yellow Cross of Saint David'.

I shall have more to say about 'Band Cambria' on my Adfywiad Music Page Posting soon.
.
In conclusion: Well! should not knock it really, I dare say Cardiff might need a dash of patriotism, even if it is a bit on the patriotically pale side and good get in time much more in way of ''Spuedo Welsh Patriotism'' with all this, oh so fake and false ''Tartan Taffery''. However, if it makes pobl Caerdydd a tiny bit more patriotic then why not and indeed I wish it well, but lets get one thing clear as far as I am ''Adfywiadwr Concerned'', it does have more of a commercial content than 'Radical Nationalism' content or purpose. Thus on the whole I would say, just why? are not Cardiff City Council and Chamber of Trade organising this, in association with Cardiff Mentur Iaith etc & et al? Why is it left to ''outsiders'' and ''nationalists of sorts'' to organise it? Other than that, I would say, if Caerdydd goes on being totally indifferent to any hint of ''Welshness'', then why not take this annual Parade to Abertawe, which is much more a ''Welsh City'', and proves it on 'Dydd Dewi' where Caerdydd does not. On the whole I feel patriots should be organising such parades, if they have that much interest in 'Dydd Dewi', in their own communities. As for so called ''Radical Nationalists'', they need to be organising an annual 'Dydd Dewi' march from Tafarn Cayo to the steps of the 'Sham Senedd', rather than follow pathetically behind the ''Knights of Saint David'' up a bit of a ''Brit'' blind allyway? I have said all this before and I hope not to repeat myself. At least none too many 'Radical Nationalists' this year bothered to turned up for this years 'Dydd Dewi Day Parade in Caerdydd but what were they doing! Anything of use to our cause and struggle! It will not be lost on the organisers and other patriots that the Western Mail the next day did no report on the parade but filled up a page with a report on the handing out of Leeks to Welsh Regiments, well in keeping with the ''Brit - Taffy Spirit'' of Azincourt and of the WASP Welsh Regiments who for the English Crown beat up on the French, Americans and Irish from the 16th Century to very recently in Northern Occupied Ireland. See photos below, also taken in Caerdydd on 'Dydd Dewi', of the so called ''Welsh Cavalery'' recruiting our young Welsh Lads to go off and get slaughtered in Iraq or Afghanistan. God forbid such happens to any young lad, but was there anyone out there trying to stop them? No! So, where was the so called ''Welsh Left''(I will give the ''Nats'' a break here! as it's the ''Left'' that is always ''Troops Out!''), where was Social Forum Caerdydd/Cymru? or the Red Choir? or Red Poets? or the Radical Plaid Poppy Trio - ''Femmes Fatales''; Leanne? Jill Evans? and Bethan Jenkins? and what about the Really! Really! RADICAL CYMRU 'X' CROWD? I am beginning to think that ''Political Struggle'' in Wales/Cymru is all ''Mouth and Trousers'' or should that be ''Cilts?'' and dare I say it ''Big Girls Blouses?''. So why no ''DEMOS'' by the people who like to go ''DEMO-ING'', where they all, if not ''Dewi Day-ing'', I guess they must have all been at some really important 'Left Conference' or another? Paci - Pifflers!!!!!!!!!!!!

.
FLAGS ON PARADE:

Most Popular Flag on Parade was 'Baner Glyndwr', no doubt about that. Yes! 'Baner Dewi' all bunched up looked impressive but that was contrived and organised. On the other hand if going by individuals carrying flags, 'Baneri Glyndwr' won out, maybe more next year. As for 'Y Draig Goch' hardly to be seen, and just as well because it's of Tudor ''passive design'' and of 'Tudor Colours' too. If we are to have Red Dragons, then please 'Rampant Red Dragons of Cadwladwr' and on a Yellow background please, noting Red and Yellow are the Royal Colours of Gwynedd, The Lions of Llywelyn III and of Owain IV. I would call upon patriots to now make special effort to make these ''Patriotic Pagan'' Rampant Red Dragon Flags, in view of fact that the newly formed W.C.P. are calling for the 'Y Draig Goch' to be done away with and replaced ironically with the Yellow Cross of Saint David, so lets get making lots of 'RAMPANT RED DRAGONS' Hist Note: Dewi Sant was the ''Bete Noir'' of Pelagius who was declared an ''Heretic'' and ''Repentant Heretics'' were made to wear a 'Yellow Cross'.

.

But what about the Eagle Flags?

It seems as if the White Eagle has flown away, none were in sight on the 'Dydd Dewi' parade and they even appear to be leaving the 'Balchder Cymru' web sites and blogs?, is the writting on the wall? Does the 'White Eagle' cry no more of danger to Y Cymry? The question begs to be asked has the 'White Eagle' returned to it's eerie in Eryri? Does this mean that there is no hope for another great 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol', my answer to that is, a possible ''BIG YES!''.

.

Instead, it looks as if we may witness coming upon Y Cymry, another great ''Religious Revival'' as in 1905. What with all these crosses making their appearence, it seems as if we are about to have an...

'Adfywiad Crefyddol Cymru'....

Rather than an 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol', 'Adfywiad Gweriniaethol' or even an 'Adfywiad Goch'.

Whatever, 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol', continue to follow the flag that bears the ''Heretics'' Yellow Cross of forced repentance, perhaps not an absolute ideal to follow for coming with ''Repentance'' is rejection of prior faith and belief. However, this marking of the ''Heretic'' with the sign of the Yellow Cross, is as the Nazis marked Jews with a 'Yellow Star' upon the pain of death as the church marked out the Cathars with 'Yellow Crosses' at threat of being burnt alive at the stake (See atrocity at Montseguer etc). Thus such ''Heretics Yellow Cross'' can also come to mean much more than simple repentance. You, or at least 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol' are in the tradition of the ''Heretics'' who were of the oppressed and suffered the repression of state and church. So too as a ''Radical'' you are also an ''Heretic'', who are also oppressed and repressed by State and Church down through the ages unto our own times. 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol' may not be of the Christian faith but we recognise the Celtic Cross as a symbol of our native Celtic heritage and Cymric traditions long held, and of course such is symbolic of our 'Croes Naid' and thus also symbolic of our stolen national treasures.

.

Some 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol' are of Druidic Faith and thus are ''Celtic Patriotic Pagans' and may wish to carry or march behind the ''Knot of Celtic Unity Flag'', and why not? Whatever, all 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol' need to make themselves an 'Adfywiad Sun Flag' as depicted below, to have ready to carry at events, and for others of true Radical Nationalist Patriotic Persuasion to march behind. Note this is easy to make: White Rayon, Yellow and Red acryllic Fabric Ink and your away, easy! so go on make yourself one?

That's it! for now, but I am leaving 'memo messages' on the RED LETTER PAGE POST today ok!
